Michigan Land Bank Association Membership
How to Become a Member
The Michigan Land Bank Association (MLBA) is the only network in Michigan solely dedicated to ensuring the success of land banks across the state. MLBA is comprised of Michigan land bank authorities’ staff and board members.
Any Michigan Land Bank Authority created under Public Act 258 of 2003 is eligible for Michigan Land Bank Association membership.

MLBA makes sure that your membership dollars work for you in many ways, including:
Advocating for issues that matter to MLBA members
Gathering, summarizing, and disseminating land bank policy and program best practices
Granting access to an economic impact study that will serve to quantify the impact of land banks across the state
Opportunity to attend the annual Michigan Land Bank Leadership Summit focused on developing new skills and deepening peer relationships
Providing an information sharing E-newsletter to keep members up to date on land bank activity across the state.
Annual Association Fee
In order to deliver services to its members, MLBA collects an annual association fee based on the individual land bank’s general fund operating gross revenue:
Operating Gross Revenue (Membership Fee)
$0 – $50,000 ($250)
$50,001 – $100,000 ($1,000)
$100,000+ ($2,000)
